The
MK3 (A2D) pattern is one of the industry's most proven perforations. It features a regular perforation pattern of
5.0 × 2.5 mm , a diameter of
1.1 mm ± 0.2 mm, and a punched area of
10.6% . This structure provides a discreet appearance while simultaneously providing functional ventilation—ideal for seating surfaces and door panels.
This perforation is a
standard pattern for Mercedes-Benz (including new air conditioning), Ford, Land Rover, and many more, and is frequently used by both professional saddlers and private users.

MK3 (A2D) automotive leather is tanned in Germany using environmentally friendly methods. It is produced using
ecological mineral tanning and complies with all relevant EU guidelines. The leather is free of AZO dyes, chromium VI, and other harmful substances. Each hide exhibits natural characteristics such as small scars, insect bites, or color shades – making it unique and authentic.
Our leather meets the tested basic values of the automotive industry and is tested according to relevant DIN and ISO standards.
Processing & Applications
You can get this
perforated nappa leather as a half or quarter hide – ready-to-use and perfectly cut for handcrafted applications. The thickness is approximately
1.1 to 1.3 mm , allowing for a wide range of applications.
Suitable for all common upholstery methods:
gluing, sewing, stapling, and clamping . This leather is particularly effective in
vehicle construction , including
mobile homes and boats . It's also proven effective in
